SIAC Wind Energy gives you a peace of mind project. Offering a total ‘one-stop’ service covering everything from feasibility testing to installation and periodic inspection or maintenance, we have everything you need to get the return on investment you want.
Although small scale turbine projects and medium scale turbine projects require similar services from SIAC, there is obviously a vast difference in complexity.
For small scale Bergey projects, our suite of services includes:
- Site surveys, consultation, advice and recommendation. Though you can get a quick idea of whether your site is suitable here, it’s important to undertake a detailed site survey before you decide to buy.
- Help with planning permissions, approval and consents. While it’s now much easier to obtain permission for single, smaller wind turbines, each site can have its own idiosyncrasies. You can find out more information of what’s involved here.
- Carefully chosen wind turbine systems. We’ve researched the world to establish partnerships with the best and most reliable technology on the market and are proud to offer the world-renowned Bergey turbines. For more information, click here.
- Installation and commissioning. As construction specialists, we’re able to undertake all site works through a network of regionally based installers. All installations will be comply with MCS registered intallers to comply with the Feed-In-Tariff reqirements. This includes the connection to the grid. Click here for more information.
- Ongoing maintenance/inspection. SIAC extensively researched turbines for their long-term reliability. In fact, the Bergey has an estimated 50 year design life based on a real 30-year track record and comes with an industry leading 10 year warranty. However, we also offer an inspection schedule to preserve your investment.
- Funding. Although we don't offer direct funding, we do have funding partners that may offer you a financial service subject to their terms and conditions. Click here for more information.
For medium scale (up to 500kW) projects, our services also includes:
- Access to specialist consultants and related services. This ranges from specialist planners through to grid capacity and energy export negotiations through to taxation advice. Basically anything to maximise the investment viability of the project.
- Funding through shared equity options. As a major construction company with its own project investment division, SIAC can offer an attractive way to fund this major long-term investment through a Joint Venture company, and we’re able to make such projects viable in a way that is open and fair to all parties.
