The National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers (NAPIT) has granted SIAC Wind Energy, the exclusive supplier of Bergey wind turbines in the UK, with its Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) installer accreditation. SIAC Wind Energy now has the authority to register any small scale wind turbine installations the company undertakes, having surpassed the exacting standards the MCS quality assurance scheme demands.

Carrying the MCS mark means SIAC Wind Energy can offer a guaranteed service combining a top quality product and installation. The accreditation process assessed the company’s supply, installation and comissioning controls for its wind energy products.
Patrick Dormon, Managing Director of SIAC Wind Energy, explained: “This demonstrates to our customers that we can provide an installation service in the most economic manner, either internally or regionally with our external MCS certified installation partners. It is our aim to become the prudent UK partner of choice for those seeking an efficient and durable wind energy solution, and this accreditation takes us one step closer to achieving that.
“Having MCS certification means we can register our installations for the Feed-In Tariff scheme. With the proposed changes in the tariffs potentially taking place in October, now is the time to progress with your planning application for a small wind turbine. This will make a marked difference to your energy bills for many years to come.”
